Signatoro FAQ: Signatures for AI Emails in Make and Zapier

Quick answer

Signatoro is an email signature platform for people and AI agents: you save a signature once, and your automations fetch the current version on every run, so an AI-written email carries the right person's name, title and phone number instead of a made-up sign-off. Make fetches it with one HTTP request to https://signatoro.com/api/v1/signature; Zapier uses Signatoro's own Get Signature step. Two free lessons build the same patient reply both ways: the Make.com AI reply lesson and the Zapier AI draft reply lesson.

These answers come from those lessons, the Signatoro screens captured in October 2026 with made-up Brookside Dental data, and Signatoro's docs. Plans and limits change, so check signatoro.com before you rely on a number here.

Why do AI automations need a separate signature tool?

Because Make and Zapier send through the Gmail API, and the signature saved in Gmail's settings is only added to messages written in Gmail itself. Asking the AI to sign instead has two problems: "The Brookside Dental team" reads like a form letter, and a model asked for a name and phone number can get them wrong. Signatoro keeps each person's signature in one place, and the automation adds it after the AI's message.

Try it free, step by step

Add AI to Make.com: ChatGPT Writes a Personal Reply, Gmail Sends It. Connect OpenAI to your Make scenario, have ChatGPT write a personal reply from each patient's form answers, add the sender's real Signatoro signature, and send it with Gmail. You do every step yourself in a practice copy of Make, it checks your work as you go, and “Do it for me” finishes any step you get stuck on. Free, and nothing touches your real accounts.

Key takeaways

  • Automations skip your Gmail signature; Signatoro supplies it on every run.
  • The AI writes the message only; the signature is added after.
  • Make uses one HTTP request with a bearer token; Zapier uses Get Signature.
  • The free plan includes the API, with a monthly request cap.

Frequently asked questions

Is Signatoro free?

Yes. Signatoro has a forever-free plan that includes the API, capped at 50 API requests a month when the lessons were built in October 2026. Free signatures carry a small "Get my signature" link; the Company plan removes it and lifts the limit for everyone.

What details does a Signatoro signature hold?

Under Your details: Name, Title, Company, Phone, Email and Website. Click Save signature when you're done.

Where do I get the API key?

On your signature page, under For tools and assistants, click Generate API key and copy it. The Zapier lesson notes it's shown once.

What does the API return?

In Make, the HTTP module with Parse response set to Yes gives you the signature in its Data, including an html field you map into the email body after the AI's reply.

What happens when someone's title or phone number changes?

They update it on Signatoro, and the next email has it. Nothing changes in the Make scenario or the Zap.

Why does Make return 401 or 404?

401 missing_api_key means the API Key field doesn't start with Bearer and one space. 404 no_signature means no signature has been saved yet. Both fixes are in Signatoro Make.com fixes.

Why can't I see Signatoro in Zapier?

The Zapier app is invite-only while in beta. Accept Signatoro's invite and it appears as Signatoro (1.0.0), Invite Only. More in Signatoro Zapier mistakes.

Can the email be signed twice?

In Zapier, yes, if you also pick a Gmail signature in Create Draft Reply. Leave it empty.

Should the email go straight out or wait as a draft?

The Zapier lesson saves a draft reply so a person reads every one. The Make lesson sends it, and suggests Gmail Create a draft email if you'd rather check each email first.

Does Signatoro work with n8n?

Signatoro's docs page is titled "Add your email signature to emails n8n, Zapier and Make send," and its directory listing says n8n fetches it with one HTTP step. The two lessons here cover Make and Zapier only.

Where is the Make blueprint?

See the Signatoro Make blueprint page for the download and import steps.

Who uses this at work?

Anyone whose team sends the same kind of reply many times a week. See Signatoro use cases by role, the cheat sheets for Make and Zapier, and the Signatoro directory entry.
