What is Typeform?
Quick answer
Typeform (typeform.com) is a no-code builder for forms, surveys and quizzes that feel like a conversation. Typeform AI can build a form from a prompt, branching logic adapts the questions to each answer, and responses can sync to tools like Google Sheets, HubSpot or Slack.

Why it matters for a small business
A form is often the first thing a new client fills in, so it sets the tone. Typeform's pitch is conversational, adaptive forms: the next question depends on the last answer, so people only see what applies to them. That keeps intake, feedback and lead forms short for the person filling them in.
Typeform says its AI can build a form from a prompt, ask adaptive follow-up questions and help analyze answers, including topic and sentiment analysis and drop-off tracking. Answers can be text, video or audio.
The other half is where answers go. Typeform's Google Sheets connection syncs responses as they come in, and it lists integrations with Calendly, HubSpot, Slack, Stripe, Zapier and more, so a response can start the next step without anyone copying it by hand.
In a real lesson: Get Every New Client's Details in One Place using Jotform AI
The Jotform AI lesson builds the same kind of form in Jotform, not Typeform. Brightline Accounting, a made-up firm, needs a new-client intake form. You describe the form in the Describe your form box, then use Form Copilot to fix the title and add a field for advisory clients.
Next you open Settings, then Conditions, and describe a rule in plain words: show the advisory field only when the service is Advisory. The AI writes the show and hide rules, you check them, publish and copy the link.
Typeform does the same job with its own tools: Typeform AI drafts the form from a prompt and its branching logic plays the part of that show and hide rule. The habits from the lesson carry over: read every required field yourself and check the AI's rules before you share the link.

Common confusions
Typeform vs Jotform
Both are no-code form builders with AI. Typeform leans on conversational, adaptive forms and research tools; Jotform, used in the lesson, offers a classic form layout plus AI agents and many widgets. Try both on the free plans.
Branching logic vs a hidden field
Conditional logic decides which question someone sees next. A hidden field carries data you already know, such as a campaign name, without asking for it.
Tips
- Write the prompt with the business, the form's job and the exact details you need.
- Ask only what you will use; every extra question costs finished responses.
- Connect the form to a sheet or CRM before you share it, then send a test response.
