Answer Every Customer in Under 5 Minutes: AI Support for a Small Online Store

What you’ll be able to do: After this course you can put an AI agent on your website that answers from your own FAQ and says "I'm not sure" when it should, build a help-docs chatbot and test it on a question the docs do not cover, and have an AI agent collect the details of an inquiry before a person replies. Then you set up an AI receptionist for after-hours calls and turn a Spanish customer call into English notes with owners and deadlines, checked against the original.

Why this course

Picture Harbor & Pine, a made-up 12-person home-goods store. Questions come in by website chat, email and phone: where is my order, can I return this, do you ship to Canada, can you quote 40 chairs for a restaurant. One or two people answer them between other work, replies take hours, after-hours messages and calls wait until morning, and nobody knows which answers were wrong.

This course fixes that one channel at a time, with the AI tool that does each job best. Step 1: an FAQ agent on the website in Chatbase. Step 2: a help-docs chatbot in Dify, tested on a question the docs do not answer. Step 3: a Mixdesk AI agent that collects the details of a bigger inquiry before a person quotes. Step 4: an ElevenLabs AI receptionist for after-hours calls. Step 5: a Spanish customer call turned into English notes in HappyScribe.

The payoff: most routine questions get an answer in minutes, day or night. Bigger inquiries and after-hours callers reach a person with the details already collected, and calls in another language are understood the same day. You stay in charge the whole way: you test every bot on a question it should not answer, keep prices and promises for people, and check every AI summary against the original. Each module uses its own made-up firm and only its own tool, in a practice copy that checks your work.

Who this course is for

Five modules are beginner level and two (the Mixdesk agent and the ElevenLabs receptionist) are intermediate. You need a browser and the customer questions you already answer. Do them in order, or start with the channel that is slowest today.

You can already

  • Answer customer questions by chat, email or phone
  • Have an FAQ, help page or list of common answers (a rough one is fine)
  • Nothing else: no code and no accounts to start (the practice runs in your browser)

After this course you can

  • Put an AI agent on your website that answers only from your own content
  • Test a support bot on questions it should not answer, and fix what it gets wrong
  • Have an AI agent collect inquiry details and hand off to a person
  • Answer after-hours calls with an AI receptionist
  • Turn a call in another language into checked notes with owners and deadlines
  • Turn a release note into a short customer how-to video and help article the same day
  • Reply to TikTok direct messages in seconds with your booking link, and collect the email

What you’ll build

  • Module 1: You help Dana Ruiz, who runs Juniper Lane Bookkeeping, a made-up five-person firm that answers about 40 repeat questions a week by email.
  • Module 2: You run member support at a made-up coworking space. You load its help center into Dify, fix how the file is split, and check the right article comes back.
  • Module 3: You run sales for a made-up event venue. You create an AI agent, write a persona with five details to collect and a rule against quoting prices or promising dates, and test it with a one-line inquiry.
  • Module 5: You are the support manager at a made-up booking software company. You transcribe and translate a Spanish customer call, then turn it into notes and a team update with owners and deadlines.
  • Module 6: You lead support at Bookline, a made-up 15-person scheduling-software company. You upload a 22-second recording of the new Waitlist auto-fill setting, give Clueso the release note and a clear brief, read the plan it writes, fix the one step it got wrong, then take the finished video, catch that the article was not rebuilt, and fix it from the same project.
  • Module 7: You help Priya Shah at Clearpath Career Coaching, a made-up two-person practice. A DM with the word book, booking, consult or price gets an offer of a free resume review and the booking link, then a question for the email. A valid email tags the lead resume-review-lead and marks the chat Open in Manychat's Inbox.
  1. Module 1 · Chatbase · Beginner · ~15 min

Chatbase: Answer Customer FAQs with an AI Agent

You’ll be able to: Step 1, answer the FAQ around the clock: train a Chatbase agent on your FAQ, add guardrails and an "I'm not sure" fallback, put it on your site and fix an answer from the chat logs.

  2. Module 2 · Dify · Beginner · ~10 min

Dify: Build a Support Chatbot That Answers From Your Help Docs

You’ll be able to: Step 2, the help-docs version: load your help center into Dify, check the right article comes back, then test a question the docs answer and one they do not.

  3. Module 3 · Mixdesk · Intermediate · ~7 min

Mixdesk: An AI Agent That Collects Inquiry Details Before You Follow Up

You’ll be able to: Step 3, collect the details before a person replies: build a Mixdesk AI agent that asks for what your team needs, never quotes prices, and hands off with a clean summary.

  4. Module 4 · ElevenLabs Agents · Intermediate · ~11 min

ElevenLabs: Never Miss an After-Hours Client Call with an AI Receptionist

You’ll be able to: Step 4, answer the phone after hours: build an ElevenLabs AI receptionist that answers, knows your hours and services, and takes a clear message for the morning.

  5. Module 5 · HappyScribe · Beginner · ~8 min

HappyScribe: Turn a Spanish Customer Call into an English Summary and Action Items

You’ll be able to: Step 5, understand every caller: transcribe and translate a Spanish call in HappyScribe, turn it into a team update with owners and deadlines and check it against the Spanish.

  6. Module 6 · Clueso · Beginner · ~10 min

Clueso: Turn Release Notes into a Customer How-to Video

You’ll be able to: Step 6, stop the how-do-I tickets after every release: paste the release note and a short recording into Clueso, prompt a 60-second customer how-to video, fix the script, and get the help article from the same project.

  7. Module 7 · Manychat · Beginner · ~16 min

Manychat: Turn TikTok DMs into Booked Calls

You’ll be able to: Step 7, answer social DMs too: build a Manychat automation that replies to a TikTok direct message with the word book or price in seconds, sends your booking link, asks for an email, and tags and flags the lead for a person.

Prerequisites

  • For the practice: a web browser. Each module runs in a copy of the real tool’s screens, so you need no account and no sign-up to start module 1.
  • To do it for real: a Chatbase account, a free Dify account, a HappyScribe account, a Clueso account, a Manychat account and a TikTok account connected. Each module says which one it uses.

Time to complete

About 1.5 hours of hands-on practice across 7 modules (196 steps in all). Modules take 7 to 16 minutes each, so you can do one in a sitting and come back for the next.

Questions about this course

How can a small online store answer customers faster with AI?

Let AI take the routine questions on every channel and keep people for the rest. An FAQ agent on the website answers shipping and return questions at any hour, an AI agent collects the details of bigger inquiries before a person replies, and an AI receptionist covers the phone after hours. This course builds each of those, one hands-on module per tool.

Which AI tools does this course use?

One tool per job: Chatbase for the FAQ agent, Dify for the help-docs chatbot, Mixdesk for the inquiry agent, ElevenLabs for the after-hours receptionist, and HappyScribe for calls in another language. Each module shows only its own tool.

Why are there two chatbot modules?

They cover two different starting points. Chatbase (module 1) works from a short FAQ and puts a chat bubble on your site in minutes. Dify (module 2) works from a full help center and shows how to check which article each answer came from. Take the one that matches what you have, or both.

What if the AI gives a customer a wrong answer?

Each module tests for it. The chatbots are told to answer only from your content and are tested on a question they should not know, the inquiry agent is told never to quote or promise, and the HappyScribe module checks the English notes against the Spanish call and catches a word the AI got wrong.

Do I need paid accounts or coding skills?

No coding, and no accounts to start: every module is a practice copy in your browser that checks your work. To do it for real, each module lists what you need. Some tools have free plans and some need a trial or a paid plan, and plans change, so check each site.

How long does the course take?

The course takes about 77 minutes of hands-on practice across 7 modules of 7 to 16 minutes each. It is self-paced: set up one channel a day, or start with the one customers complain about most.
