The answers come from the lesson, its real console and n8n screenshots, and the prices shown on prolevelmax.com that day. This is my own lesson and FAQ, not official ProLevelMax documentation, so check prolevelmax.com/docs and prolevelmax.com/pricing for anything that may have changed.
What is ProLevelMax, in one minute?
Think of it as a menu of data sources. Each source is one kind of data with an id, a few input fields and a price per call. Reddit alone has 25 sources in the console, including Subreddit feed (procli_reddit_c), Post comments (procli_reddit_b), Post search (procli_reddit_d) and Post details (procli_reddit_e). You pick a source, send its id and its fields to one API endpoint, and get the results back as JSON.

Why are people switching to it now?
Reddit announced on r/modnews on September 30, 2026 that it switches off its RSS feeds on November 13. Plenty of marketing and ops teams read a subreddit through n8n's RSS Read node: newest posts in, an AI summary out, posted to Slack. After November 13 those nodes return nothing. ProLevelMax is a drop-in for that one node, and you don't need to register a Reddit developer app.
How much does it cost to run?
From prolevelmax.com and the console on 19 October 2026: the Subreddit feed, Post search and Post comments sources are $0.003 per call. It is pay as you go from a prepaid balance with no subscription. New users get $1 of free credit after verifying their email, with no card required. One call a day is about 9 cents a month.
To compare against doing it by hand, the lesson's example is 30 minutes a day reading the subreddit: about 2.5 hours a week, or about $540 a month at $50 an hour. Those are example numbers, so put in your own.
How does the n8n request work?
Five settings in an HTTP Request node:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Method | POST |
| URL | https://prolevelmax.com/v1/run |
| Authentication | Generic Credential Type, then Bearer Auth |
| Credential | Your key in Bearer Token |
| Body | Send Body on, JSON, Using JSON |
The body for the subreddit feed is {"scraper": "procli_reddit_c", "input": {"subreddit_name": "smallbusiness", "sort": "NEW"}}. The HTTP Request node glossary entry explains the parts if they are new to you.

ProLevelMax in n8n: Keep Your Reddit Workflow Alive After the RSS Shutdown. Reddit switches off its RSS feeds on November 13. Swap the RSS Read node in your n8n workflow for one HTTP Request node that pulls the newest subreddit posts from ProLevelMax, then let AI sum up… You do every step yourself in a practice copy of n8n, it checks your work as you go, and “Do it for me” finishes any step you get stuck on. Free, and nothing touches your real accounts.

The response has items (the posts), count, page (the cursor for the next page) and cost. Each item holds a post object with fields such as post.postTitle, post.url, post.createdAt, post.score and post.commentCount. The page cursor is how API pagination works here: one page per call, and the cursor fetches the next one.
Key takeaways
- ProLevelMax is a list of sources; each has an id, input fields and a per-call price.
- One URL,
/v1/run, serves every source. The body names the source. - The key goes in an n8n Bearer Auth credential.
- The Reddit sources in the lesson were $0.003 per call on 19 October 2026, with $1 free for new users.
- Posts come back in
items, with fields underpost..
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a Reddit developer account?
No. ProLevelMax handles the Reddit side. You only need a ProLevelMax API key, created under API keys in the console.
- Where do I find a source's field names?
In the console, open Data sources, search for the source and click Collect. The form shows the fields, for example
subreddit_name(required) andsortfor the subreddit feed. The API takes the same names.- What sort options does the subreddit feed take?
BEST, HOT, NEW, TOP, CONTROVERSIAL or RISING. The lesson uses NEW for a daily read of the latest posts.
- Does clicking Run in the console cost money?
Yes. Run on the Collect form charges the same $0.003 and saves the result under Runs. You can skip it and let n8n make the call.
- Can I get comment threads, not just posts?
Yes. Post comments (
procli_reddit_b) returns the comments of one post per call, and Post details (procli_reddit_e) returns one post with its comments.- Can I watch Reddit for a keyword instead of a subreddit?
Yes. The Post search source (
procli_reddit_d) takes a query. The lesson's keyword monitor runs it once a day; the keyword monitor template walks through the download.- What happens if a call fails or my balance runs low?
ProLevelMax says a failed run is usually free and a run never takes your balance below zero. Results are kept for 30 days under Runs.
- How long does the setup take?
The lesson is about 9 minutes and 26 steps. The keyword monitor template's own note says about 5 minutes once you have a key.
- Is the AI part required?
No. The lesson adds an AI Agent that answers questions from the posts, but the keyword monitor skips AI and hands posts straight to your Slack, Sheets or other nodes.
- What are the usual setup mistakes?
A key pasted into the body, GET instead of POST, and later nodes reading
titleinstead ofpost.postTitle. See 9 ProLevelMax mistakes and how to fix them.- Where is ProLevelMax listed with similar tools?
In the research section of the AI tools directory. For ideas on who uses this kind of feed at work, see ProLevelMax Reddit monitoring use cases by role.
