Guardian Tutorial: Guardian Jump Start
A free Guardian tutorial: turn "team emails can go, client emails wait, never delete" into a Guardian policy, test it before you save it, and see where the Guardian node and the Approval Inbox fit in an n8n workflow.
Guardian Tutorial: Guardian Jump Start is a free, hands-on AI course for owners, operations people and n8n builders who run, or are about to run, an AI agent or automation that can send, pay or delete on its own: 1 short module (about 14 minutes in all) where you do each step yourself in a safe practice copy of Guardian, which checks your work. No coding, no cost, and you can start without signing up.
Who it’s for: Owners, operations people and n8n builders who run, or are about to run, an AI agent or automation that can send, pay or delete on its own. Some n8n basics help; no code is needed.
Why this course
Guardian (guardian-safety-gate.com) is an approval and audit layer for actions that cannot be undone. It sits right before a step like sending an email, making a payment or deleting a record, and answers Allowed, Needs approval or Denied. Your workflow only acts on Allowed, or after a named person approves, and every decision goes into a tamper-evident log. Guardian has an n8n community node, an SDK and an MCP server.
This Jump Start follows a made-up bookkeeping firm whose n8n agent drafts overdue-invoice reminders. You write the line most offices already draw in their heads as a Guardian policy, test a team email and a client email in Guardian's tester, rely on Deny unmatched actions for deletes, and wire the Guardian node so only its Allowed output reaches the send. The Guardian screenshots are the real app, October 2026; the n8n images come from Guardian's own guide, credited where they appear.
New to the idea? Read What Is Guardian? first: action types, policies, the three verdicts, approvals and the audit log, in plain words.
What you’ll build
- Module 1: You help Maya Chen, who runs Harbor Line Bookkeeping, a made-up firm whose n8n agent drafts about 60 invoice reminders a month.
- Module 1 · Guardian · Intermediate · ~14 min
Guardian: Make Your n8n AI Agent Ask Before It Emails a Customer
An n8n AI agent that reads, sorts and drafts saves real time. The risk starts when it sends: a wrong amount or a clumsy line goes straight to a client, and an email cannot be unsent. So many owners still check every draft by hand, which takes back most of the time the agent saved.
Prerequisites
- For the practice: a web browser. Each module runs in a copy of the real tool’s screens, so you need no account and no sign-up to start module 1.
- To do it for real: a Guardian account. Each module says which one it uses.
Time to complete
