The example in the lesson is made up. Priya is an account manager at Fernhill Marketing, a small agency, building the Q3 marketing review for a client, Copperline Coffee. Every number in it is invented for the lesson. Beautiful.ai (beautiful.ai) is a separate, third-party presentation app. The lesson is a practice copy built from Beautiful.ai's public help center in October 2026 and was not tested in the real app, so your screens may look a little different. It is our own lesson, not an official Beautiful.ai course.
Why build client decks with Beautiful.ai?
A monthly client review deck can take three hours, and most of that is layout, not the message. The lesson prices it with example numbers: four client decks a month at about three hours each is 12 hours a month. When the AI builds the deck from a good brief, the work becomes the brief and the checking: about an hour a deck, or about 4 hours a month. Use your own numbers.
Beautiful.ai's Create with AI turns a brief into an outline and then a deck that stays laid out as you edit. A tool like this is an AI presentation maker.
What does the lesson do, step by step?
- On My Presentations, click Create with AI in the upper right corner.
- Paste the brief: who the deck is for, the tone and the real numbers.
- Click the submit arrow. Beautiful.ai writes a slide-by-slide outline first.
- Remove the slide nobody asked for (Industry coffee trends in the lesson).
- Ask the AI chat for a next steps slide.
- Under Visual Preferences, pick a theme and choose No images as the image source.
- Click Generate Presentation.
- Open the results slide and check each figure against the brief.
- Click Share, then Share Public Link, then Copy Link.
What should go in the brief?
The audience, the tone and every number you want on a slide. The lesson's brief asks for a 6-slide quarterly review for the client's owner and marketing lead, "friendly, plain and confident", then lists the Q3 results (website visits 18,400, up 22% on Q2; email list 6,150, up 640; Instagram followers 9,800, up 1,100; 412 online orders from email), what worked (the Cold Brew Week email series), what did not (paid ads on Facebook) and the plan for next quarter. Those figures are made up for the lesson.
The point is that the AI never has to guess a number. If a figure is not in the brief, the AI fills the gap, and a guessed number on a client deck is a problem. Beautiful.ai's help center says you can also add documents, PDFs or links to the prompt.

Start the free lessonWhy fix the outline before generating?
Because changing a list of titles is cheaper than fixing finished slides. Beautiful.ai shows the outline before it makes anything, and its help center says you can change slide titles and copy, reorder or remove slides, add sections, or ask the AI chat for changes in plain words. In the lesson, the outline included Industry coffee trends, which was not in the brief and had no facts behind it, so Priya removed it. Then she typed Add a next steps slide at the end with owners and dates in the chat. A short, edited slide outline is the plan for the whole deck.
Key takeaways
- Put the audience, the tone and every real number in the brief.
- Read the outline first: remove what you did not ask for and add what is missing.
- Choose No images for a results deck so no made-up pictures appear.
- Check every figure on the results slide against the brief.
- Share with Share, Share Public Link and Copy Link.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Beautiful.ai part of Stepthrough?
No. Beautiful.ai is a separate product from beautiful.ai, with its own account and plans. The practice lesson needs no Beautiful.ai account and creates no deck.
- Where is Create with AI?
On the My Presentations tab, in the upper right corner.
- What are the image source options?
The lesson shows AI-generated, Stock, Web and No images. Beautiful.ai's help center also lists an image style and a language under Visual Preferences.
- Why choose No images?
A client results deck should not carry AI pictures of coffee shops that are not the client's. Pictures that are not the client's business can mislead. For a different kind of deck, another image source may suit.
- How do I pick the theme?
Under Visual Preferences, click a theme. In the lesson Priya picks the warm, orange one because it is close to the client's own colors.
- Can I change the outline by typing?
Yes. The AI chat panel takes plain requests, such as adding a next steps slide with owners and dates.
- How do I check the numbers after generating?
Open each slide that holds figures and compare it with your brief, line by line. In the lesson that is the Website and email results slide, with four numbers to check. Every number on a client deck is your promise. This is a simple source verification step.
- How do I send the deck to the client?
In the editor click Share, then Share Public Link. You can name the link if you like. Click Copy Link and paste it into your email.
- Is there a free trial?
Beautiful.ai lists a free trial, and the lesson's module page says its pricing page states the trial needs a credit card. Check the Beautiful.ai pricing page for current terms.
- Where are Beautiful.ai's own instructions?
In its help articles Creating a presentation with AI and How can I share a link to my presentation.
- What goes wrong most often?
Numbers left out of the brief and an outline nobody read. See Beautiful.ai client deck mistakes. For a deck built from meeting notes, try the Gamma presentation lesson, and the Beautiful.ai glossary entry explains the tool in a paragraph.
