Run Solo Studio: Solo Operator Stack Pairs a Notion Workspace With Six n8n Workflows

If you run your business alone, you can get a reminder email when an invoice goes overdue without building the automation yourself, as long as you are willing to set up n8n.

What happened

Run Solo Studio (runsolostudio.com) sells Solo Operator Stack, which it describes as a Notion workspace for clients, projects, pipeline and money plus six import-ready n8n workflows, for freelancers, solo consultants and solopreneurs. The six workflows on its product page are: new lead to client and pipeline, an overdue invoice reminder that checks Finance daily and emails you, a cold pipeline nudge, content idea capture, a Sunday digest email and a project closeout checklist. Run Solo Studio says two of the workflows add rows to Notion and the other four only read your databases and send email, and that “none of them creates or sends invoices.” Each workflow comes with a CONFIG node, a README and test steps, and the company says you do not build anything from scratch or need to know n8n. The page makes no measured claims, such as hours saved. Its Resources page, checked October 16, 2026, links Stepthrough’s free overdue invoices lesson and says it pairs with the unpaid invoice reminder workflow. Who gets it, and what it costs

$79 one time for Solo Operator Stack, with no subscription to Run Solo Studio and a 14-day money-back guarantee, as listed on its site on October 16, 2026. A smaller Client Ops Kit (the Notion workspace, 4 SOPs and 3 prompts) is $29, Kit buyers can upgrade for $50 within 30 days, and a Sunday Review template is $0.

What it means for an office team

The problem it targets is one every solo business knows: an invoice slips past its due date because nobody was watching the list, and a follow-up goes out weeks late, if at all. Run Solo Studio’s home page frames the product around that: stop missing follow-ups and chasing unpaid invoices.

The most basic use is the overdue invoice reminder. You keep your invoices in the Finance database, and once a day the workflow checks it and emails you when one is overdue. It does not chase the client for you: you still decide what to send and send it yourself, which keeps a person between the reminder and the customer.

Before a reminder goes out, check the invoice is not disputed, then match the tone to how late it is. Our free overdue invoices lesson, the one Run Solo Studio links from its Resources page, walks through building a chase list and drafting friendly, firm and final reminders.

Try it: the stepthrough

This is Stepthrough’s own practice for the overdue invoice reminder (W2), not an official Run Solo Studio course. The node names and fields are from Run Solo Studio’s real workflow file, and the digest email is the real output of a test run on a real n8n workspace on October 17, 2026, with made-up invoices. Run Solo Studio gave us a free copy of the Stack as partners; it is $79 on runsolostudio.com.
