Gemini App: Send an Interactive App You Built Straight to Google Sites
A small calculator or checklist you build in Gemini can become a page on your team’s Google Site in a couple of clicks, instead of living in one person’s chat.
What happened
On October 19, 2026, Google announced that interactive apps built in the Gemini app can be exported directly to Google Sites. You open the app in the Gemini app and choose Export > Google Sites, and it opens as a new, private site draft that stays interactive and that you can edit and publish. It is available now on the web, Android and iOS for Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains. There is no new admin control: you can export only if Google Sites is turned on for you and you are allowed to create and edit sites, and the new sites follow your organization’s existing Sites and Drive policies. Who gets it, and what it costs
- Who: Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts who have the Gemini app.
- Needed: Google Sites turned on for you, with permission to create and edit sites.
- Where: web, Android and iOS, available now.
Google lists no separate price. It comes with access to the Gemini app and Google Sites.
What it means for an office team
The basic case is the small internal tool someone keeps rebuilding: a mileage or quote calculator, or a new-hire checklist. Build it once in the Gemini app, export it to a Sites draft, and publish it on the team site where everyone can find it.
The draft starts private, so check it before you publish. Try the app with real numbers, make sure it holds no client data, and confirm who the site is shared with.
