Claude Dashboards and Motion: Live Charts from Your Data, and Docs, Slides and Design for Every Plan
Free Claude users can now make documents and slide decks, and paid users can ask for a dashboard that stays current as the numbers change.
What happened
On October 8, 2026, Anthropic announced Claude Dashboards, in beta on paid plans, which builds a dashboard from your data and keeps it current as the data changes. Dashboards connect to data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks and Snowflake, and to connectors such as Salesforce; each number links to the query behind it and each chart shows when it was last refreshed. Anthropic also launched Claude Motion, in beta on Team and Enterprise, which builds short animated explainers from a prompt without a video generation model and exports them as MP4. Docs, Slides and Design came out of beta and are available on every plan, including Free. For Enterprise, Dashboards and Motion are off by default until an admin turns them on under Organization settings > Artifacts, and Docs, Slides and Design turn on by default on October 15. Who gets it, and what it costs
- Docs, Slides and Design: every plan, including Free.
- Dashboards: beta, on paid plans.
- Motion: beta, on Team and Enterprise. Type /motion in the message box, or just describe what you want.
- Enterprise admins: turn Dashboards and Motion on under Organization settings > Artifacts.
Anthropic lists no separate price. Each feature comes with the plans above; Docs, Slides and Design are included on the Free plan.
What it means for an office team
The basic case for a small team is the one-page document or deck that used to wait for someone with design time. On any plan you can now describe the deck from your meeting notes, which is one of Anthropic’s example prompts, and get a first version to edit.
For the person who sends the weekly numbers, a dashboard of quarterly revenue by region (another of Anthropic’s examples) can replace the copy-paste into a slide. Click through to the query behind any number before you quote it, so you know exactly where it came from.
