OpusClip: Turn One Long Video Into Short Clips With Captions

If you record webinars, podcasts or client talks, this tool looks through the whole video, picks highlight moments and returns short, captioned clips you can review and post.

What happened

OpusClip (opus.pro) says it turns long videos into short clips: it analyzes the video, picks highlight moments, and adds captions, reframing, transitions and a call to action. Its ClipAnything feature is described as working on any genre, including vlogs, gaming, sports, interviews and explainer videos, and ReframeAnything resizes video for different platforms while tracking moving subjects. The site says captions are added automatically with “over 97% accuracy” and can be edited, and that clips can be edited by hand or by the AI and published to social platforms from the web app. For teams it lists brand templates, a shared workspace and an API, and it accepts videos by link from sources such as YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo, Zoom, Twitch and LinkedIn, or as uploaded files. OpusClip says it is “used by 20M+ creators and businesses” and that you can “create and publish videos 5x faster”; those are the company’s own claims, and its testimonials are individual anecdotes, not verified results. Who gets it, and what it costs

Free plan, then Starter at $15 and Pro at $29 per month, plus custom Business pricing, as listed on OpusClip’s pricing page on October 16, 2026. The page does not list annual prices or the monthly minutes for each paid plan.

What it means for an office team

The problem is that one good hour of video, such as a webinar, a client interview or a training session, holds a dozen short moments worth sharing, and finding and cutting them by hand takes an afternoon. OpusClip’s pitch is to find them for you and hand back captioned clips already sized for each platform.

The sensible way to use it is as a first cut. Upload the long video, review each clip the AI picked, fix any mistake in the captions and make sure a clip does not take a sentence out of context before you publish it. Get permission before you post anyone else’s face or words, and remember the watermark on the free plan.
