Jump Start: Runable
Start from zero with Runable, an AI agent: brief it, answer its questions, approve its plan, and check its work. Seven modules on the Free plan: market research, a one-page business plan, an Instagram carousel, a one-page website, a customer help page with DM replies, and a client proposal deck.
Jump Start: Runable is a free, hands-on AI course for solo founders, side-hustlers, freelancers and small-business owners with no staff, and anyone who wants to see what an AI agent does that a chatbot does not: 7 short modules (about 1.5 hours in all) where you do each step yourself in a safe practice copy of Runable, which checks your work. No coding, no cost, and you can start without signing up.
Who it’s for: Solo founders, side-hustlers, freelancers and small-business owners with no staff, and anyone who wants to see what an AI agent does that a chatbot does not. No design, writing or coding background needed.
Why this course
Runable is a general AI agent: you describe the finished work, it asks what it needs, writes back a plan, and then builds it with web search, documents, image models and code. One tool covers the jobs a new business needs before its first sale. This course starts from zero and teaches the same four habits in every module: write a four-part brief, answer the questions that matter, read the plan before it builds, and check the result.
You follow Maya Chen (made up) as she launches Harbor & Pine, a small-batch candle brand in Portland: a sourced market scan, a one-page plan with every assumption tagged, a launch carousel, and a one-page website. The last module switches to a small agency and a messy client email that becomes a proposal deck. Every screen in the practice is a real Runable screen on the Free plan, captured in October 2026, and every output is what Runable really made, including the mistakes worth catching: a cost that did not add up, a typo inside an AI image, and a website build that ran out of credits, then finished the next day with a stock-photo watermark to catch.
Credits are part of the lesson. The Free plan gave 1,500 a day when we tested it: a plan cost 14, a deck about 200, a carousel about 450, a research brief 562, and the website build used the 490 we had left, stopped, and finished the next day for 236 more. You learn what to run when, so the free allowance is enough.
What you’ll build
- Module 2: You help Maya Chen at Harbor & Pine, a made-up small-batch soy candle brand in Portland, check her market before she buys stock.
- Module 3: You help Maya Chen turn her Harbor & Pine research into a one-page launch plan.
- Module 4: You help Maya Chen make a 5-slide Instagram launch carousel for Harbor & Pine's three scents.
- Module 5: You help Maya Chen take a one-page website for Harbor & Pine from a brief to a finished page, ready to publish.
- Module 6: You help Maya Chen turn Harbor & Pine's repeat customer questions into a one-page help page and five DM replies, with the gaps listed instead of guessed.

Runable: Size Up Your Market and 5 Competitors Before You Spend a Dollar
Most new founders buy stock first and research later. Before Harbor & Pine (a made-up candle brand) spends $3,000 on wax, jars and fragrance, Maya needs three answers: is the market real, who already sells to it and at what price, and where is the gap. A consultant charges $1,500 or more for that, and doing it yourself takes a weekend of tabs.
- Module 3 · Runable · Beginner · ~10 min
Runable: Turn Your Research into a One-Page Business Plan (and Catch the Bad Math)
Research tells you the market is there. A plan tells you what to do on Monday: who buys, what you sell, at what price, where, what happens in the first 30 days, and what could go wrong. A plan writer charges $500 to $1,500. And a plan with one wrong cost in it is worse than none, because you price, order and borrow on that number.
- Module 4 · Runable · Beginner · ~10 min
Runable: Make an Instagram Launch Carousel for Your Products (and Catch the AI Typo)
A launch needs people to know the product before they meet you. For Harbor & Pine (made up), that means three scent names, what they smell like and the price, in one Instagram carousel. A freelance designer charges $150 to $300 a carousel, and doing it yourself in a design app takes an afternoon.
- Module 5 · Runable · Beginner · ~16 min
Runable: Brief a One-Page Website, Approve the Plan and Budget Your Credits
Before the first market, a new brand needs somewhere to send people: one page with the products, the price, who makes them, a way to join the waitlist and the three questions every buyer asks. A freelancer charges $500 to $2,000 and takes about two weeks. Doing it yourself in a site builder takes a weekend.
- Module 6 · Runable · Beginner · ~10 min
Runable: Turn Customer Questions into a Help Page and DM Replies (and Check What It Changed)
Once a small shop has a website, the same questions arrive every day: how much is shipping, how long does it burn, can I pick it up, my order arrived broken, do you sell wholesale. Typing each answer from memory takes over an hour a week, and one tired answer can promise a policy you do not have.
- Module 7 · Runable · Beginner · ~16 min
Turn a Messy Client Brief into a Finished Proposal Deck using Runable
A business case for a small agency: price what a slow proposal costs, then use Runable, an AI agent, to turn a messy client email into a finished six-slide proposal deck on the free plan. Check your credits, paste the brief, answer its questions, pick a template, review the numbers and fix the blanks by asking.
