ChatGPT project instructions for one client (template), from the Stepthrough lesson "ChatGPT Projects vs Chats: Keep Each Client's Work Together and Stop Re-explaining" https://learn.ynteractive.com/modules/chatgpt-projects-vs-chats Where it goes: ChatGPT sidebar > Projects > + (new project) > open the project > ยทยทยท > Project settings > Instructions. Template (fill in the brackets): Client: [client name], [what they do] in [city]. Retainer/scope: [what you deliver each month]. Contacts: [name (role)] and [name (role)]. Tone: [3 words], [anything to avoid]. Always [one house rule, e.g. end drafts with a question for the approver]. The example we used in the lesson (made up): Client: Lakeside Dental, a 3-dentist practice in Madison, WI (made up). Retainer: 4 blog posts and 8 social posts a month. Contacts: Dr. Ana Ruiz (owner) and Kim Lee (office manager). Tone: warm and plain, no medical claims or prices. Always end drafts with a question for Kim to approve. Habits: - One project per client. Start each task as a new chat from the project page. - Normal chats are for one-off questions that belong to no client: project rules do not apply there. - Archive hides a chat (it is still stored, under Settings > Archived chats). Delete removes it. - Check the project's Memory option (Project settings) against your firm's rules. Leave out passwords and card numbers.
