"Did they respond? When is our court date? Are we going to win?"

## The myth

An AI draft that sounds **reassuring** is safe to send.

## The fact

In the lesson, ChatGPT's friendly first draft told the client she'd win by default, called a scheduling conference her court date, and predicted she'd be paid before the holidays. A claim-by-claim check against the firm's numbered facts flagged all three.

From ChatGPT for Small Law Firms. An email routine, not legal advice.

Businesses and people in the examples are made up. The steps, screens and wording come from the free lesson and the Stepthrough glossary and prompt library.

## Do it yourself, free

**Answer Case-Update Emails Without Predicting the Outcome using ChatGPT**. A client wants a court date and a promise she'll win. Give ChatGPT the thread and your firm's facts, catch the lines that predict an outcome, and send a clear, kind case update from Gmail. You do every step yourself in a practice copy of ChatGPT, it checks your work as you go, and “Do it for me” finishes any step you get stuck on. Free, and nothing touches your real accounts.
