ChatGPT Work: the work order, the follow-ups and the checks
(From the Stepthrough lesson "ChatGPT Work: Have ChatGPT Do a Multi-Step Task". Hollow Oak Landscaping and the three suppliers are made up; the .example sites do not exist.)

1. THE WORK ORDER FROM THE LESSON (switch the chat to Work first)
Compare bulk hardwood mulch, river rock and delivery fees from these three suppliers near Millbrook: valleystone.example, pineridge.example and hilltop.example. Build a spreadsheet with a Comparison tab (price per cubic yard, delivery fee, source link for every number) and a Summary tab that prices our usual order, 10 yards of mulch and 4 yards of river rock, and recommends one supplier. Use only public pages, flag anything you can't find, and stop before contacting or ordering from anyone.

2. YOUR OWN WORK ORDER (fill in)
Compare [WHAT] from [SOURCES: sites or pages]. Build a spreadsheet with a [TAB 1] tab ([COLUMNS], source link for every number) and a [TAB 2] tab that [WHAT TO WORK OUT] and recommends one. Use only public pages, flag anything you can't find, and stop before contacting, buying from or signing up with anyone.

3. STEER IT WITH FOLLOW-UPS
When it hits a login: Skip the login. Use the public retail prices on their site, and note that trade prices may be lower.
When it asks a question, answer it plainly: Yes, convert at 13.5 bags per yard and show the math in the sheet.
A change to the file: Add a column for each supplier's delivery minimum.
Make it repeat: Every Monday at 7 AM, recheck these three suppliers' prices and tell me what changed.

4. WHAT THE LESSON'S SUMMARY TAB SHOWS (usual order: 10 yd mulch + 4 yd river rock + delivery)
Valley Stone & Mulch: $380.00 + $288.00 + $65 = $733.00 (cheapest)
Hilltop Landscape Depot: $420.00 + $272.00 + $50 = $742.00
Pine Ridge Garden Supply: $607.50 + $316.00 + $85 = $1,008.50

5. SUPERVISE IT
- Approve each site it asks to open. Say no to anything you did not list.
- Never type a password into the chat. A login on a public price check is a sign to skip.
- Open "Worked for..." to see every step it took.
- Spot-check two or three numbers against the source links before you use the file.
- Website text can try to trick an AI. Keep Work on public pages, and stop it if it goes somewhere it shouldn't.
- Scheduled tasks are listed under Scheduled in the sidebar, where you can pause or edit them.
