You do not need design skills. Every example uses made-up businesses and numbers. ## Why do AI presentations go wrong? AI slide tools can produce a deck in a minute. That is the easy part. What costs small firms is what a careless minute produces: - **Generic slides.** A one-line prompt gets a deck that sounds like everyone else's, with stock photos and filler bullets. - **The wrong story.** The tool puts the slides in a sensible-looking order that is wrong for this client, such as asking for budget before showing results. - **An off-brand look.** Colours and fonts change every time, so the decks never look like your firm. - **Wrong numbers.** The AI rounds, mixes up or invents figures, especially when it condenses notes. One wrong growth number in front of a client costs more trust than an ugly slide. None of these is a tool problem. Each one is fixed by a habit that takes less time than fixing a bad deck. ## What are the four habits that work in any AI slide tool? ### 1. Prompt with four parts A strong slide [prompt](https://learn.ynteractive.com/content/glossary/prompt) has the audience, the one message, the source and the shape. "For the client's owner and office manager, who are not finance people. Main point: Q3 grew 12%, and we recommend one more account manager. Here are my notes: … Six slides, one idea each, short bullets, no stock photos." With those four parts the AI has almost nothing left to guess. Adjectives such as "professional" or "stunning" add nothing. ### 2. Fix the story at the outline Most AI presentation tools show a [slide outline](https://learn.ynteractive.com/content/glossary/slide-outline) before they design. That is the cheapest moment to fix the order and cut what does not support the message: moving a line takes seconds, moving a designed slide can break the layout. ### 3. Set up a brand kit once A [brand kit](https://learn.ynteractive.com/content/glossary/brand-kit), also called a theme or brand settings, stores your logo, exact hex colours, fonts and the images you allow. Set it up once and pick it for every deck, instead of describing your brand in every prompt, which drifts. Say which images are allowed, too: AI-made people and fake product shots can embarrass you in front of a client. ### 4. Check every number Compare each figure on the slides with your source, one by one. Keep the ones that match, fix the ones that differ, and remove any number you cannot trace. That is a [hallucination check](https://learn.ynteractive.com/content/glossary/hallucination-check), and it is the step that makes an AI deck safe to send. Only the tool changes. ## How do you keep AI visuals and carousels accurate? Images and carousels have their own version of the number check. Text inside an AI image can come out misspelled, a product shot can show something your product does not do, and an ad can make a claim you cannot back up. Approve the first image or the cover before the tool renders the rest, read every word on every slide, and check each claim the way you check a number. Fixes often cost [AI credits](https://learn.ynteractive.com/content/glossary/ai-credits), so catching a problem on the cover is cheaper than catching it on slide five. For video clips, check that each clip makes sense without the rest of the video, and that captions spell names correctly.
